Mr Tuyen Nguyen is the Chairman of the Board and the co-founder of Khai Sang Corporation, an entity which invests in quality schools for both expatriate and Vietnamese children. He owns the vision and the strategic development plan of the corporate and the group of schools. His belief is that education changes life, and every child deserves an equal opportunity for quality education which enables the student to reach his / her full potential. Having successfully founded and developed Renaissance International School Saigon since 2007, Tuyen has continued to research, invest and develop an unique quality while affordable school concept called EMASI International Bilingual Schools that will help students develop critical skills for modern world and become fluent in English.

Mr Tuyen Nguyen has significant and diverse industry experience in both Vietnam and international market. Mr Tuyen Nguyen was the Chairman, CEO and founder of Saigon Gas Holdings Corporation, established in 1998, one of the largest gas distribution company in Vietnam. In 2008 he made a successful exit by an M&A transaction with Total Oil and Gas, the world giant in oil and gas industry. He is the board member of a few companies including Chairman of Viet Huong J.S.C., a leading flavor and fragrance company in Vietnam established 1995, co-founder and Director of Rivermark Development Compnay from 2012, a property development business in Houston, Texas, U.S.A.

Mr Tuyen Nguyen was born and grew up in Saigon, Vietnam, graduated from Hochiminh City University in 1994. He used to live in Houston, Texas, USA with his wife, Ms Quynh Nguyen, founder of the Nguyen Art Foundation, and their four children. To pursue his aspiration in providing quality education for Vietnamese young people, the family has resettled in Saigon, Vietnam since 2018. Tuyen’s favorite quote : “Plan your work for today and every day, then work your plan.”

Ms Quynh Nguyen is Mr Tuyen’s wife. As a dedicated and wise mother, she strongly believes that a good school with good curriculums and a vibrant learning environment is the best preparation for a child before he/she enters into a wider world and becomes a global citizen. With such a vision, together with her husband, Quynh found the Renaissance International School Saigon in 2007.

Quynh is a successful business woman. She has been the founder and CEO of Viet Huong JSC. since 1995, a leading Flavor and Fragrance Company in Vietnam. Quynh finds herself a business woman, a greatly devoted mother for her children’s comprehensive development and an art lover. With her passion and efforts, she has succeed in collecting contemporary paintings and arts and opened an International Modern Art Gallery (IMA Gallery) in Houston, Texas, US.

Quynh also found the Nguyen Art Foundation, an initiative dedicated to the preservation and promotion of art, both within Vietnam and abroad. Nguyen Art Foundation aims to link artists working in Vietnam with opportunities to participate in international dialogues, and assist them in navigating the global exchanges which can enrich not only their individual works and practice, but also the Vietnamese art scene as a whole.

Tuyen and Quynh have four children who all were studying at the Renaissance International School Saigon. Thy Nguyen and Duy Nguyen had studied at the school for 5 years before they moved to the US. The two younger boys, Chuong Nguyen and Kha Nguyen, are studying in Secondary classes in this dynamic and excellent school.

Mr. Michael Deveney is a highly respected educational leader with a distinguished career spanning various international schools across Vietnam as well as other countries such as Kuwait, Japan, Thailand, and Myanmar. Notably, he served as the Head of School at Makuhari International School in Japan (2014 – 2018) where he successfully integrated the Japanese Ministry of Education curriculum with the English National Curriculum. He was also the Founding Principal of BVIS HCMC (2010 – 2014), Head of Secondary School at BIS HCMC (2004 – 2010), and Head of Secondary School, Acting Principal, and Senior Management Team member at The Regent’s School, Pattaya (1996 – 2004) where he oversaw operational planning and organisation at the school, including the boarding section.

With a deep commitment to fostering excellence in education, Mr. Deveney’s guidance will be enormously beneficial in EMASI’s effort to create an integrated bilingual program that incorporates the MOET curriculum and the Cambridge International curriculum, as well as the IGCSE and A Level programs. Additionally, his expertise shall help unleash the potential of our comprehensive learning environment, assisting our students in integrating into the wider world.

Doctor Huỳnh Công Minh, born in 1948, is a committed educator who is dedicated to education reform and eager to bring excellent education to Vietnamese students.

In his 45 years of experience in education, Doctor Huỳnh Công Minh held many important positions and has contributed substantially to education throughout the country. Started as high school Maths and Physics teacher in Tuy Phong, Binh Thuan before 1975, he then was awarded as an excellent teacher and became Deputy Head of school and later Head of some schools such as Bùi Thị Xuân, Củ Chi, An Lạc in Ho Chi Minh city. He had worked as director of Education Office of District 10 from 1987 to 1995; as Manager of high school division, Deputy Director and then Director of Ho Chi Minh city’s Department of Education & Training from 1995 to 2011; as Deputy President of Vietnam Educational Psychology Association; and has been post-graduate teacher at University of Social Science and Humanity and an advisor on education reform until now.

With academic training and experiencing various different periods, the study of over 15 countries, Doctor Huỳnh Công Minh has achieved great influence and credibility in education field as well as in society. Some of his remarkable achievement are leading position of District 10’s education in the city or Ho Chi Minh city education taking lead in the country for many years; or his new reformed school model to meet reform trend in Ho Chi Minh city which is a good example for other provinces to follow his education model where students not only pass their exams but also become dynamic, creative and confident adult in their life.

Luke has earned his degrees from Manchester Metropolitan University, Keele University and the University of Salford.

Teaching and Leadership Experience: Luke has over 12 years of experience working in both international and bilingual schools. He has successfully led schools through curriculum and assessment changes to support learning using a collaborative approach to leadership. Luke believes all teachers are language teachers and parents should be seen as partners in the learning journey.

Professional Accomplishments: Luke has played an active role in developing schools and teachers. He has led the reaccreditation process for The Council of International Schools, helping to promote high standards of international education. Luke enjoys speaking at educational conferences and sharing his experiences through articles. As a teacher trainer, Luke has facilitated language teaching courses to enable teachers across the range of the school support all students access the curriculum.

Teaching Experience: Mr. Nicholas James Wilding has 28 years of teaching experience, working with students aged 3 to 19 in various educational settings. With a career spanning three decades, he has demonstrated a love for teaching and a passion for an ever-evolving education system. Having held leadership positions early in his career, Mr. Wilding has valuable expertise in developing GCSE and A Level programs. As Head of Student Support Services in both UK and international schools, he has overseen the entire learning journey of students, from admission to graduation. He has played key roles in admissions, recruitment, staff training, curriculum development, and policy writing.

Professional Accomplishments: Mr. Wilding was assigned as Council of International Schools Accreditation Evaluator in 2021. He was also awarded the National SENCO Award from Middlesex University (2019) and achieved the Associate Member of the British Dyslexia Association (AMBDA) (2013).

Educational Experiences: Mr. Ngoc Nam has 2 years of teaching practice at a public school and 4 years of experience in education at International Education environment. He used to be a Secondary School Math teacher and assistant to the Head of Natural Sciences at an International Bilingual School in Ho Chi Minh City.

Professional Accomplishments: Mr. Nam has won the National Silver Medal in Mathematics on his calculator. In the process of studying at university level, Mr. Nam has made good achievements with scholarships such as: Third Prize in Scientific Research Contest and also in extra-curricular activities such as: Provincial Merit for obtaining outstanding achievements in the volunteer movement or representative of Union at the school level.
