Nguyen Ha Le Anh, a student of EMASI Van Phuc School, Thu Duc District, was honored to receive the prestigious Silver Medal in the AMO 2019 contest.
AMO is an English Math contest founded by American Doctor of Mathematics, Mr George Lenchner in 1977. This is one of the most prestigious math tests in the world for students from grades 2 to 9 with a passion for math. By 2015, around 170,000 students from 6,000 schools across 50 states in the US and 30 other countries attended. For ASEAN counties, Hong Kong, and Singapore, the Singapore International Math Contests Center (SIMCC) is responsible for organizing this challenging academic contest.
In 2016, for the first time, the AMO contest was held in Vietnam. In particular, the students were allowed to try many interesting types of math challenges completely in English, and at the same time, they rubbed shoulders with many other international candidates.
In the AMO 2019, our student – Nguyen Ha Le Anh of EMASI Van Phuc School, Thu Duc District excelled in winning herself and was honored to receive the prestigious Silver Medal. In particular, Le Anh was also one of the most talented representatives of Vietnam to compete with students from 20 countries around the world in the Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) held in November. And at SINGA 2019, she excelled in winning the Individual Encouragement and Bronze Medal.
In addition to the happiness that Nguyen Ha Le Anh has brought to her family, teachers and schools, this award will certainly be a great and meaningful motivation to help her and other EMASI students to try to do their best and be ready to pursue their passion and confidently conquer any challenge of knowledge.
The EMASI School Leadership Team would like to congratulate her and her family. We believe that these initial successes will help her as well as many other students cultivate a greater interest in math, while at the same time, inspire the passion of learning and the spirit of lifelong self-study to the whole EMASI school community, both now and in the future.
