Library Program: Cultivating Lifelong Learning Habits
At EMASI, the library is considered the “heart of the school”, a space where students are inspired to love learning, develop essential academic skills, and nurture the qualities of global citizens.
Through the harmonious combination of a well-structured program, rich resources, diverse activities, and an environment that fosters exploration, the EMASI Library has become a dynamic learning hub. It plays a vital role in building sustainable reading habits and empowering students to take ownership of their learning.
The EMASI Library Program: An Integral Part of the Curriculum
Unlike traditional school libraries, the Library Program at EMASI is built into the academic curriculum as a formal subject, with scheduled classes and a clearly defined learning path across all grade levels.

For Kindergarten and Elementary students, library sessions are a highlight of their school experience. Storytime introduces them to meaningful bilingual stories that gently teach values such as empathy, kindness, and courage. As they progress, students develop reading comprehension skills through digital platforms like RAZ Kids, which offers hundreds of age-appropriate books. In upper grades, the program expands to include academic research skills, such as how to find, analyze, and evaluate reliable information, laying a foundation for advanced, independent learning.
Not limited to reading skill development, the library is also a vibrant space for various engaging activities such as storytelling sessions, themed reading challenges, student-led book exhibitions, and author meet-and-greets. Some classes also participate in interdisciplinary reading and writing projects, where students create content, write reflections, or design book covers for their favorite works.
Fostering a Culture of Reading
In the digital age, when screens are everywhere, EMASI continues to view books as “a second teacher”, shaping thoughtful minds and nurturing emotional intelligence.
Daily reading is not a requirement, but a habit. It is part of the rhythm of the school day, and it grows naturally from a love of books, not obligation.

More than a place to read, the EMASI Library is a space where students discuss, collaborate, explore ideas, and express themselves creatively. It is a safe, open, and engaging environment, one that supports both academic and emotional growth, and inspires a lifelong love of learning.
