The project “The Comic Handbook: If It’s Family, Be Wise So Parents Don’t Scold You,” researched, compiled, and implemented by Phó Khánh Hào, a 10th-grade student at EMASI Vạn Phúc, addresses the communication barriers between parents and adolescents during periods of emotional tension.

Observing the lack of accessible resources for teenagers to understand parental behavior and cope with conflicts, the study aims to develop a practical handbook that uses visual storytelling to offer relatable, peer-based advice. The project employed surveys across different grade levels, collecting behavioral data and emotional responses from EMASI students to create content that maintains neutrality and objectivity.

Key findings highlight that small misunderstandings in emotional expression often escalate into conflicts, and that adolescents frequently react defensively during scolding, impacting family harmony. The study also reveals that recognition, supportive communication, and emotional regulation are critical for strengthening parent-child relationships. The final product, The Comic Handbook, leverages humor and illustrations to make psychological insights engaging and easily applicable for young readers.

The project concludes that by promoting open dialogue, emotional self-awareness, and mutual understanding, families can build stronger, healthier relationships, while also emphasizing the importance of expanding future research with broader demographic samples.
