Throughout January 2020, EMASI Schools have been accompanying students and teachers in increasing awareness of “17 Sustainable Development Goals” proposed by the United Nations in 2015 (Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals). There are some global goals that emphasize proactive and preventive measures of the world community against the risk of natural disasters, and epidemics, such as: “Goal 6: Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all” and “Goal 3: Ensure a healthy life and enhance welfare for all citizens in all age groups”. These activities of discovering and applying the global goals continue to implement during this second semester.
Besides, we actively send parents and students useful information about the Corona virus and the school safety and hygiene procedures. In addition, we also encourages each EMASI members to carry out the following personal precautions:
• Wash your hands often. Use soap and water or alcohol-based sanitizer, rubbing your hands for at least 20 seconds.
• Always cough or sneeze into your bent elbow or a tissue.
• Avoid close contact with anyone who has a cold or flu-like symptoms.
• Avoid contact with farm animals or wild animals.
• Keep your body warm and improve your health by eating, resting, and doing healthy activities, such as exercising and playing sports.
And to support the back-to-school weeks, we have already prepared everything from cleaning, disinfecting classrooms, teaching tools, school buses to completing safety procedures and sickness response plans.
Therefore, during the recent process of learning knowledge and skills, conducting extra-curricular activities and training sports, the comprehensive preparation of EMASI Schools has been and will actively support students’ abilities to manage information, as well as adapt to and solve problems that arise in their current and future lives.
